Easy and fun

Got the Kids Gardening Kit for my niece's birthday, and it was a hit! She loved planting the seeds and checking on them every day. Everything was packed well and seemed pretty durable for little hands. Made for a fun afternoon activity, and now she's super into gardening.

Good value for a starter kit

I was looking for a decent deal on a starter kit and picked up the Kitchen Herb Garden. The price was competitive, especially for an organic option. It came with everything needed to get started, and I felt I got my money's worth. Shipping was quick too, so that was a plus.

So fun, will buy again!

I got the Pink Mushroom Grow Kit and it was amazing! Watching them grow was so cool. It was super easy to set up and the mushrooms tasted great. I will definitely be getting another one soon. What a great product!

Overall good, one small issue

I ordered the Organic Sunflower Grow Kit and some Fabric Grow Bags. The grow kit worked great, and the sunflowers are coming along nicely. The bags are also sturdy and a good size. My only minor complaint was that the tracking update for shipping was a bit delayed, so I wasn't entirely sure when my package would arrive in Denver, but it did show up within the expected timeframe. Customer service was responsive when I inquired, which was helpful.

Reliable kits every time

I've bought from Back To The Roots a few times now. This last order was for a Windowsill Herb Garden and some more Organic Basil Seeds. Just like before, the kit was simple to get going, and the seeds sprouted without a hitch. Their products are consistently good, which is why I keep coming back for my indoor gardening needs. They really deliver on their promise of easy growing.

What's up with their grow guarantee? Does it actually mean if my kit fails, I get a new one or my money back?

P Patricia Robinson 1 month ago
Yeah, that's exactly what it means. If your kit doesn't grow, you can contact them and they'll sort you out with a replacement or a refund. I've heard good things about their customer service for that.

I had a kit that just never sprouted and they sent me a new one no problem. It's legit.

Are the seeds non-GMO? I'm trying to keep everything as natural as possible in my garden.

A Anthony A. 2 weeks ago
All their seeds are organic and non-GMO. That's a big part of their brand, thankfully.

C Carol Davis 2 weeks ago
For sure, they only sell non-GMO seeds. It's one of their core principles for being an organic company.

How do these mushroom kits compare to, say, something from Click and Grow? Are they easier to get going?

M Megan Thomas 1 month ago
I've used both. Back to the Roots is super hands-off, literally just misting. Click and Grow is more about automated watering, but the mushroom kits from BtTR are probably simpler for a true beginner.

Click and Grow is more for herbs and stuff with pods. For mushrooms, BtTR is really simple, just spray and wait. Way less fuss than C&G for that specific product.

I'm thinking about getting a few different seed packs. Do they ever have like, a multi-buy deal or something on seeds?

J Jeff Johnson 1 month ago
Sometimes they do bundle deals, especially around seasonal sales. Not always for individual seed packets, but worth checking during holiday times.

J Jason N. 1 month ago
I've seen multi-pack deals on the variety sets, like the herb or veggie packs. For individual packets, maybe during Black Friday or something similar.

Hey, wondering how long shipping usually takes for the mushroom kits? I'm in San Diego and wanted to get one for a friend's birthday next week.

S Susan Perez 2 weeks ago
Mine usually get to LA in about 4-5 business days. San Diego should be similar, I'd say you're probably cutting it a bit close for next week if you order today.

Yeah, I ordered a herb garden last month and it took like a full week to get to me in Arizona. It's not super fast, so maybe plan for at least a week.

Can I use more than one coupon code at checkout? Like, if I have a first-time buyer code and something else.

N Nathan Roberts 3 weeks ago
Nah, usually it's one code per order. Most places don't let you stack 'em.

B Betty Rodriguez 2 weeks ago
Pretty sure they only allow one. I tried combining a holiday deal with my newsletter sign-up bonus and it didn't work.

Does anyone know if they do a teacher discount? I'm an educator and always looking for ways to save on supplies for my classroom.

J Justin M. 3 weeks ago
They do! You have to verify it through some program on their site, but it's there. My sister used it for her school.
4
N Nick Adams 2 weeks ago
Yep, there's definitely an educator discount. Just poke around their site or contact support, they'll point you to the right place to get it verified.

Thinking of buying some soil in bulk for my raised garden beds. Do they ship the big bags, or is it just the smaller ones?

B Brian 4 weeks ago
They do ship bulk soil! I've seen it listed on their site. It's usually the raised bed mix or potting mix.

M Mary Rivera 4 weeks ago
Yep, they have options for larger quantities, not just the tiny bags. Check under their 'Soils & Amendments' section.
